AMUR HONEYSUCKLE

Amur honeysuckle is a non-native plant to Central Ohio. These vicious plants can grow between 6-15 feet tall. You can distinguish this plant by the bright red berries on these plants leaves. These plants are easiest to distinguish during the warmer months because you can see there red berries then. They are harder to tell during the winter since you can't see their red berries as much. We encourage you to pull up any amur honeysuckle you see in Central Ohio before it gets too big and destroys other living plants. This type of plant is easy to pull out of the ground, BUT BE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES.

This is amur honeysuckle destroying our environment as well as animals' habitats.
These are people pulling amur honeysuckle from the ground. We encourage you to do the same.
